Lakshmi Kothaneth The debate continued on transport weightage as Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted second round of panel of discussion. The undersecretary at the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Engineer Salem bin Mohammed al Noeimi, said Oman’s standardization of weightage is still high compared to other countries. He pointed out that the decree is an old decision that was recommended in 1993 as part of the traffic law but was only applied now. The Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Said Al Kiyumi said the Chamber wanted to link the two sectors to come up with smooth operation of the transportation sector.
