1-01c: Joinery & Chisels - Pt 3 of Introduction to Woodworking

submitted by Brandon7380 on 01/20/16 1

This is the final video of our 'Introduction to Woodworking' Lesson and we cover quite a bit of material using the few tools we covered in parts 1 & 2 plus adding in squares and knives. The exercise is a modified version of the classic Gottshall Block while the discussion is over measurement. In concept this is day three in a public school woodworking probram in a double block (a class meets for twice as long only half as often) period. The exercise if you watch the video and pause to work should take about 1.5 - 2 hours. We have 12 lessons, each made up of a few videos, that would make up an entire semester of learning. These first 3 videos make up lesson one. We hope to produce the other 11 but first need to figure out a way of covering the cost of production, time spent, and equipment upgrade (these are shot on an iphone and 720x480 camcorder). Any help is appreciated. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- visit wortheffort.com to learn of ways to support this school
