How Do YOU Define Yourself Lizzie Velasquez at TEDxAustinWomen

submitted by WebSelecta on 01/07/14 1

n a time when beauty is defined by supermodels, success is defined by wealth, and fame is deified by how many followers you have on social media, Lizzie Velasquez asks the question how do you define yourself? Once labeled, "The Worlds Ugliest Woman," Lizzie decided to turn things around and create her own definitions of what she defines as beauty and happiness. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in local community. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I Choose To Be Happy Lizzie Velasquez at TEDxYouth@Austin youtu.be/sohGDfNQV7M ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tweet Me: twitter.com/littlelizziev Instagram: @littlelizziev Subscribe: www.youtube.com/user/lizzitachickita?feature=mhee -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fan Mail P.O Box 150096 Austin, TX 78715-0096 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Royalty Free Music by audiomicro.com/royalty-free-music Sound Effects by audiomicro.com/sound-effects
