Electric Island concert + picnic series returns for 2014 with a fresh lineup of summer fun taking place on Centre Island in Toronto. Each of the four dates that have been announced May 19th, July 1st, August 4th and September 1st, will feature international and local talent in an outdoor park side setting, overlooking Toronto’s waterfront and skyline. Officially closing each of Toronto’s four summer long weekends, this open air showcase is accessible via the Toronto Island Ferry. The island event was established by three organizers - Platform, which has established itself as the leading producer of techno and house music events in the Toronto area for the past 6 years, Embrace, which produces hundreds of concerts, tours and festivals across North America each year, and Footwork, Toronto's electronic music haven that was recently rated #36 Nightclub in the world by DJ Magazine. Electric Island is accessible via the Centre Island ferry, which can be boarded at 9 Queens Quay West, near the Westin Harbour Castle hotel. The ferry runs generally every 30 minutes.
