2.16.12: Will Blackmon, a Super Bowl winner with the New York Giants, addresses students at Bishop Hendricken, where he starred before playing at Boston College and entering the NFL. Blackmon, the Providence native and former Bishop Hendricken football star who helped the New York Giants beat the Patriots in this year's Super Bowl, had a busy day on his one-day return to his home state Thursday. Blackmon started his day with an early-morning appearance on a sports-talk radio show followed by an appearance on WPRI's Rhode Show. He then spoke to students at Esek Hopkins Middle School, his former middle school in Providence; and at Hendricken before going to Providence City Hall, where he was scheduled to receive the key to the city from Mayor Angel Taveras late Thursday afternoon.
