Various workshops were held at last week's Alaska Federation of Natives conference. AFN’s vice president, Maude Blaire, explained they chose topics based on what they believe to be key issues facing the native community. One seminar that drew a lot of attention was the justice for Natives workshop where it was announced that joint tribal-state courts will be implemented in March.
