Girls, Inc.
This $18 million New Markets Tax Credit project was funded through the partnership of Clearinghouse CDFI, Banc of America CDE, LLC, USBancorp Community Development Corporation, & Northern California Community Loan Fund. Girls Inc. inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold through life-changing programs and experiences that help them navigate gender, economic, and social barriers. Renovation of a historical building in the Downtown Oakland Historic District into the Simpson Center for Girls created 25 full-time jobs, 35 construction jobs, and increased the number of girls served by 25% annually.
