Rich in wind resources, New Caledonia is reducing its dependency from fossil fuel. The two wind farms are using world first technology to green-up the national grid and provide socio-economic improvements for the communities. The South Pacific islands region faces increasing environmental and socioeconomic pressures sharpened by global climate change. Besides replacing dirty fossil fueled energy with sustainable power, this project tackles several environmental and societal issues.
