Each week, WTMJ4 chooses an outstanding student athlete -- there are many positive stories in Milwaukee's schools. The week of November 9th, 2014, Urban Day School Alumni Corey Thornton was honored. While he is now excelling as a high school athlete and scholar, he got his start at Urban Day School. In this tribute to Corey's achievements, his family and former teachers share the many ways that Corey stood out as a leader throughout his education -- he was one of the bright stars at Urban Day School. Those that worked with Corey at Urban Day School knew he was driven to succeed and would achieve wonderful things.
