The sequel to The Pervert's Guide to Cinema sees the reunion of brilliant philosopher Slavoj Zizek with filmmaker Sophie Fiennes, now using their inventive interpretation of moving pictures to examine ideology - the collective fantasies that shape our beliefs and practices. It is a sequel to Fiennes' 2006 documentary The Pervert's Guide to Cinema. Though the film follows the frameworks of its prequel, this time the emphasis is more on ideology itself. Through psychoanalysis Zizek explores "the mechanisms that shape what we believe and how we behave". Among the films that are explored are Full Metal Jacket and Taxi Driver.
