www.TravelsWithSheila.com Night number two at Kakslauttanen resort was in the long-awaited Glass Igloo, my rationale for this impromptu trip up into Finnish Lapland. We stored suitcases in the resort's luggage room and took just what was needed for the one night. Glass Igloos are toasty warm; no worries about freezing to death and glass is made from a special thermopane that never clouds or frosts up! Two single beds each had a remote control to raise and lower the bed to ease neck strain while gazing up at the stairs (hospital bed style). They also have a teeny bathroom with toilet and sink. Now I know why other guests booked a Glass Igloo for anywhere from three days to one week. Darn! Hindsight is always 20/20...
