Here it is - my first vlog ever! The Valley of Roses (also known as Rose Valley) is that part of central Bulgaria that carries a mystical atmosphere of massive rose fields, warm hospitality from the local citizens of Kazanlak (or Kazanluk) and numerous remains from the Thracian people, who lived in these lands more than 2000 years ago. It's good to know that Bulgaria is the biggest exporter of rose oil in the world and this type of oil is so rare and so delicate that it costs even more than gold! Most of the rose fields are just outside Kazanlak and even though they were not filmed in this video, you can always go there and see them for yourself! Part 2 will be about the Festival of Roses which is annually held in Kazanlak.
