Welcome to the premiere episode of the Collider Supergirl after show. Join Kaori Takee, Clarke Wolfe, Britta Garsow and Carli Garsow as they recap and review the latest episode of the latest superhero series from Greg Berlanti, Supergirl. Supergirl is the story of Kara Zor-El, the well known cousin to Kal-El or as the citizens of Metropolis know him, Superman. Kara was sent to Earth to protect her cousin but her pod was caught in the infamous Phantom Zone. Twenty-four years later, the pod broke free and Kara landed safely on earth. Kal-El had grown up into the Man of Steel and didn't end up needing much protection. Kara was adopted by the Danvers family and now finds herself in National City working for the most powerful woman in news. After much anticipation, CBS's Supergirl premiered with a bang, including a plane crash save that would have made Captain Sully jealous, and an alien criminal who escaped the Phantom Zone along with Kara when she was a little girl. Familiar faces like Jimmy, er, James Olsen works alongside Kara on behalf of her cousin, and Supergirl has her big coming out party. It was a premiere to be remembered and laid the ground work for a super season. Supergirl returns to CBS next Monday, November 12 at its regular time, 8PM. What did you think of the pilot episode?
