Murray's Fly Shop Yellow Jacket Dry Fly for Trout; Designed by Harry Murray to imitate Yellow Jackets and members of their family which are often found in around trout fly fishing water in much of the world. Traditional fly fishing patterns often copy each other in the way their "footprint" or light impression is imposed onto the surface of the water. We have used this Yellow Jacket on heavily fished trout streams from Argentina to Montana with great success. We attribute this success to the unfamiliar footprint cast on the water. In simple terms, the fish don't associate this pattern with anything that has had a hook in it in their past.
