Psalm 131 Sons of Korah (accompaniment tutorial)

submitted by Deeper Rhythms on 10/15/15 1

***CORRECTION: I am not playing this exactly the way it was recorded in this video. The chords are all correct but the Am7 form chord that slides from 4th fret to 1st should be a slide and not separate chords. Same goes for the chord at the 5th fret down to the 2nd fret - it too should be a sliding chord rather than individual separate chords. See the performance recording to see what I'm referring to. This is a tutorial to help others learn this beautiful song by Matthew Jacoby of the Sons of Korah. This is from the album Resurrection. This song is one of the few that has no other instrumentation and is a beautiful solo tune for 1 voice and 1 guitar. "Flat tuning" means all strings are dropped 1/2 step (nearly all of their songs are tuned like this unless it's an altered tuning but even songs in altered tunings are still usually 1/2 step lower). Otherwise it's standard tuning. Lowers the overall pitch of the guitar and makes everything a little easier to sing. I'll eventually record this with vocals too...just not ready yet for that. Only figured this out a couple nights ago.
