My dad and brother were fairly new to the song and improvised some nice parts over top of my morning voice of this beautiful Sons of Korah song. It's fairly early in the morning and my voice is not warmed up. Plus we had to play in D because of the whistle - I normally play this a half step lower. I'm playing my dad's old guitar on which I first learned chords when I was about 6 years old (the strings were old and dead as can be in this recording). My brother Andrew is just learning how to play the mandolin and doing a fantastic job! Hal, my dad, is playing a low D penny whistle. If only we could do this more than once every couple of years.... :(
