Wisdom From The Field couldn't stress enough the influence the Black Panther Party's legacy has had on our growth, development, and ideology. Most influential was their application of Marcus Garvey's cultural nationalism as taught by Malcolm X and passed onto them by Kwame Ture (Stokely Carmichael) and SNCC. The story of Fred Hampton and the Illinois chapter of the BPP exemplifies this application and we hope to show a lesser emphasized side of the Party in demonstrating their impact on their communities.
