Reviving the Tradition of Skin-Stitched Tattoos

Tupik Mi is a collaboration between Iñupiaq artist Holly Nordlum, and Greenlandic tattoo artist Maya Jacobsen, to revive the tradition of skin-stitched tattoos. The three-year project starts in Anchorage with a presentation at the Museum, a temporary tattoo workshop for teens, and a skin-stitched tattoo demo.
