While in Laos the local radio station interviewed me to find out what a western tourist's viewpoint on the country might be. What made it even better was when our very thoughtful guide, Phet (Laos for Hot & Spicy), brought a portable radio to our excursion to a local pottery village so that we could listen to the broadcast live.
