Roland Kupers, former Shell foresight expert and author of 'The Essence of Scenarios. Learning from the Shell Experience', discussed the history of Shell's pioneering foresight efforts, the development of this program, and the difference between predictive 'models' and foresight scenarios. He concluded that rather than thinking about the future, we would do better to think with futures.
