Click this link - eepurl.com/WS96H - to subscribe to the tune of the week and get the free tab for this and all former and future tune of the week tunes. This week's tune we have another gem from the minstrel banjo era, "The Japanese Grand March". First published in "Buckley's New Banjo Book" in 1860, and written in honor of Japan's first ever diplomatic mission to the U.S. (the background image is of the USS Powhatan, the ship that carried the delegates across the Pacific). I'm playing a Boucher style banjo made by Jim Hartel - fabulous instrument. Banjo is tuned to bEBD#F#. To play it on a modern, steel strung banjo, tune to gCGBD. A new clawhammer banjo favorite tune and tab is posted to this channel every week - click this link to subscribe and make sure you don't miss 'em: www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=howtoplaybanjo If you have any questions about this tune, the tab, or how to play clawhammer banjo in general, please post it in the comments. I'm happy to reply in text or video, if needed.
