This video shows you how to get under the map and find hidden areas outside of the level in Sleeping Dogs. A full text tutorial is included below. You can do this trick in any location as long as you have access to this, but for this tutorial we will be using a point at the South Western edge of the map, along a series of docks, where these double-decker buses spawn. (0:05) Travel to the location shown in this video (the South-Western edge of the 'mainland' portion of the map, just North of Aberdeen Island.) Along the main roadway that loops around this area, you will find a point where the double-decker buses spawn. Take one of these buses, and drive towards the water (there's a small dock area just off the road here, or you can look for an alternative route elsewhere). Drop the bus into the water. This will force you out of the vehicle. The bus should then tip over. Swim to either the Front or the Back of the bus, and hold "A" (Sprint, for whatever system you play on), and you should dive below the bus. Move to the center of it, and wait for the bus to sink (this will take a little while). Once the vehicle is submerged, you should have been dragged down with it. From here, use your Minimap to see your location, and swim toward the 'mainland' area of the map. NOTE: Sometimes your camera will reverse, and you will swim in the opposite direction. Just watch your minimap and adjust your movement accordingly. If done correctly, you should be able to make in under the main portion of the level before resurfacing. You will then be able to explore the underside of the map. From here, it's just exploration. One thing to keep an eye out for is where the 'ground' level of the map reaches the water (you can follow roadways, or building-levels to see where the level declines). If you find a lower area of the main level, you may be able to find a place where you can get out of the water, but still be out of the map (in a normally inaccessible area) like the area shown in the video at 3:15.
