NEW, UPDATED TUTORIAL: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmxgxl_4dm4 This is a tutorial on how to fly a Pelican in the Halo 4 Campaign mission "Reclaimer". Full info, Text tutorial, and notes below. This trick was originally discovered by: youtube.com/Nowise10 =========== Tutorial: **This trick requires three (3) people to perform. (Only one active player at a time, guests may be used without issue). **Players will be referenced as "P1", "P2", and "P3" throughout this tutorial. =Start the mission "Reclaimer" at Rally Point: Alpha. As soon as the mission begins, one of the players should begin jumping/meleeing (this allows you to delay a checkpoint). =P1 and P3 will run into the cave ahead, [P3] stopping at the rock shown (i.imgur.com/DmC0a.jpg). Have the player that is jumping stop, and you should get the checkpoint that was being delayed. [You can use this checkpoint as your first setup point, in case the next step is failed] P1 should then jump onto P3, and perform double jump - on the second jump, make sure [P1] moves forward, and slightly to the left. If done correctly, you should have skipped the loadzone. If you see a Pelican spawn at this point (i.imgur.com/Ds6QW.jpg) you have triggered the loadzone, and you will need to Revert the the Previous Checkpoint, and attempt the loadzone skip again. ==Once P1 has performed the loadzone skip (no pelican has spawned), P1 should enter the mammoth, and stand near the Jetpack racks. P2 should then jump off of the map to kill themselves, and P3 should melee to force P2 to spawn with P1. P3 should remain standing inside the cave near the rock. ==Once P2 spawns with P1, P2 should exit the Mammoth, and begin walking down the path (progressing through the level). P2 should shortly hit a loadzone, and Del Rio will begin speaking. At this point, the Jetpacks will be available, and P1 should pick one up. After grabbing a jetpack, P1 should exit the Mammoth, and position themselves at this location (i.imgur.com/8ZV20.jpg). During this time, P2 should continue progressing down the path. [After triggering the Del Rio dialogue, P2 should begin Jumping while moving forward through the level. This will delay another checkpoint for the second setup point.] P3 should still be in the cave near the rock. ==P2 should continue walking, until reaching two large cracks in the ground (i.imgur.com/nhANs.jpg). P2 should stop just before reaching the second crack (i.imgur.com/QzSgj.jpg). At this point, P2 can stop jumping, and the delayed Checkpoint should now activate. [The current setup should be as follows: ==P1 is standing here: i.imgur.com/8ZV20.jpg ==P2 is standing here: i.imgur.com/QzSgj.jpg ==P3 is standing here: i.imgur.com/DmC0a.jpg ] If everything has been done correctly, you should now have a checkpoint with this setup. ==Now, P1 will begin to Jetpack upward as P3 walks forward in the cave. (This will cause P3 to hit the previously skipped loadzone, which spawns the Pelicans. P1's position should be below the Pelican spawn). [You may need to adjust your timing depending on exactly locations, etc.] If done correctly, the Pelican will spawn above P1 as P3 hits the loadzone inside of the cave. The Pelican may spawn around P1, trapping them inside the vehicle, OR, just above P1. In either instance, P1 should now enter the vehicle [Hold * to Ride Pelican]. P1 should now be riding inside of the Pelican. ==Wait until P1 hits a 10 second barrier (Return the Battlefield) while riding in the Pelican. As soon as this happens, P2 should walk forward (passing the 2nd crack). This should teleport P3 to P2's location. (If P1 is teleported, P2 walked forward too early). If done correctly, P2 should now be moving forward along the path (progressing through the level) again, while P1 remains inside of the Pelican. ==P2 should continue to run along the path. After some distance, P2 will hit another loadzone which will then teleport P1 to P2's current location. (Since P1 is occupying the seat of the Pelican, the Pelican will be teleported along with the player.) You should now have a Pelican sitting on the ground. You can now enter the Driver seat of the Pelican, and fly it around the level. [To get a checkpoint soon after getting the Pelican, make sure all players are alive, and you can just hover near the Mammoth with the Pelican. After a few seconds, you should get a Checkpoint]. ============ Notes: =Flying too far ahead of the Mammoth will cause the Pelican to deload. (You can backtrack a decent amount, however). =You can have players move freely within the Pelican by having them "Ride", then exit. This will cause them to exit the "Ride" seat, but they will still be inside of the vehicle. ========= Subscribe for more: www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=SomeFilthyCasuals Follow us on Twitter: twitter.com/SFCGaming
