On the break of war, two men prepare to duel. One is Goliath, known in the Bible as a giant more than 9 feet tall. The other a young Israelite Shepard, David. It's one of the Bible's most famous stories but behind the heroic legend lies a tale of relentless ambition, violent murder, conquests on the battlefield and in the bedroom. David's quest will ultimately unite a people but not before it tears a country apart.
