Pray we can defeat proposed gun legislation and you need to work to defeat it. That's because you will want the new IWI "Tavor" bullpup. Weighing in at a reasonable 7.2 lbs and with a short overall length, this seems to be the formula that inept Beretta could not deliver with their promised ARX-160 bullpup (see Nutnfancy SHOT Show 2011 vid on it). Combat proven since 2003 in the hands of the IDF, the Tavor is reliable and durable. This is not some hokey, half-baked, over-promised dreamt tactical rifle for the American market but a SA adaptation of the Israeli Tavor assault rifle. Fieldstrip as our host Gilade shows is fast, simple. A Pic rail on top with simple use usable BUIS is included. The trigger is heavy and crisp at first impression. Ergos on the bolt manipulation and fire controls seem excellent. Flush mounted swivels attachment are provided in the either FDE or black polymer chassis. The thin profile barrel is CHF and 1:7; caliber conversions in 9mm and 5.45mm are available as are LH bolts. Availability is unknown and value seems moderate given the $2000 MSRP. These are initial TNP impressions, subject to change.
