Julianne, a modern young woman, visits a familiar portrait gallery to find answers to pressing personal questions. While there she meets the artist for the first time, a woman who encourages Julianne to take a better look at the paintings. As she sees the women in the paintings through new eyes, Julianne discovers answers that she never expected to find.
