Bishop Brooks, for 23 years, has been blessed to serve the people of Lord as a member of the Presidium of the Church of God in Christ, Inc. First elected in 1984, Bishop Brooks is now serving in his sixth term. In 2008, Bishop Brooks was elevated to the Office of First Assistant Presiding Bishop of the Church of God in Christ, Inc. after serving one year as Second Assistant Presiding Bishop under Chief Apostle and Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake, Sr. A trusted servant of the church, during his tenure as a member of the General Board:
