I did this interview for "HITS" magazine after the release of "Pools of Mercury." They never used the article, but, of course, I held on to the videotape. Unfortunately, the quality is not so good. Since Jim knew this was for print, I had no reason to videotape the interview - but I wanted to, so instead of showing up with my usual rig, I brought this little rinky-dink camera and set it on the table in front of him. I asked if he minded if I removed the lens cap. He didn't. And yes, it's clear that I'm a fan, and I kept him there way too long. I would have several opportunities to hang out and talk with Jim, and I am grateful for each, especially our walk through Central Park in 1995. I hope all those who have found meaning in Jim's work enjoy watching this video.
