For all legal purposes, this series was either filmed in the depths of Mexico in the 90's or generated through the new Frostbite engine. Through knowledge gained from the powers of the interwebs, we decided on a Sunday night to check out a supposedly haunted bridge on Patterson's Road. Little did we know we would be joined by not one, not two, but three other parties of folks doing the same exact thing. This forest has quite a load of history behind it, reaching back from the Civil War all the way to present-day cultist activity. We came for "ghosts" but found out quite a deal more...Episode 2, Patterson's Road. Our Face of Bookings: www.facebook.com/ascriptedlaugh Our Site of Webbings: www.ascriptedlaugh.com _____________________________________________________________ What the Patterson's 'haunting' entails is supposedly if you drive up to Patterson's Road at night and park off the side by the bridge with all lights off, you'll hear 'tapping' on your door. We got bored after 15 minutes and decided it would be more interesting to talk to the other peoples that by happenstance came at the same time we did. When we were leaving even more people showed up. Not an un-superstitious generation you might say. This was the first time we ran into any other group(s) while on an exploratory trek, which you can probably tell just by how ridiculously OTT our reactions were. This particular area is said to house the spirits of Civil War soldiers, with the forest once housing a Church that is no more. You can do more research about it on your own but the crutch comes from the fact that this forest houses a clearing that was formed in the shape of an inverted ritual cross, and devil worshippers apparently make sacrifices there, amongst other things that we probably don't want to know. We heard about the inverted cross from the dudes that you see in the video, but we didn't actually believe them. We ended up trekking through for about an hour or two but ended up ghostless and crossless. So we headed home a bit disappointed but still fairly content with the experience. Later on, upon doing a google maps search (another wonder of the web of inters) we realized the inverted cross was in fact a real thing. Stay tuned for part 2, where we (stupidly) revisit the forest in search of unholy grounds...and what we find is. Well, you'll see. This time you'll actually see, unlike in this video where it's so batshit dark you can only make out three pixels of anything not black. The Urban Explorers is a series documenting our (primarily first) visits and exploration of abandoned sites that we find by happenstance or through ('extensive') research.
