Mountains of Valais

Through fog, rain, snow and even wind gusts of up to 120 km/h I am happy to have completed this project. Mountain of Valais is by far my most time consuming venture, which at points pushed me to my utter most limits. With 40kg of kit on my back it was not always easy to arrive to my chosen locations. After 15 days of filming in between August and November this year, and as a further four weeks of postproduction the project is finally finished.
My thanks goes out to the Magic Lantern Team, who through their work have made my process a lot easier. An important part of any Day-Night-Day (Holy Grail) recordings was the Auto ETTR function, as well as the Intervalometer and the Post-Deflicker from Magic Lantern.

Von Nebel über Regen, Schnee und selbst Windböen von 120 km/h machten es mir dieses Mal nicht wirklich leicht dieses Projekt zu verwirklichen. Mountains of Valais ist mit Abstand mein aufwändigstes Zeitrafferprojekt. Dabei kam ich auch ab und zu an meine körperlichen Grenzen. Mit 40kg Material ist es nicht immer einfach den richtigen Ort zu erreichen. Nach 15 Drehtagen verteilt über August bis November 2013 und 4 Wochen Postproduktion ist es nun vollbracht.
Ich muss dem Magic Lantern Team danken für ihre Arbeit. Sie machen meine dadurch um ein vielfaches einfacher. Wichtiger Bestandteil aller Tag-Nacht-Tag Aufnahmen war die Auto ETTR Funktion, nebst Intervalometer und dem Post-Deflicker von Magic Lantern.
Auch danke ich Roberto Cacciapaglia and Glance Studio für die Erlaubnis dieses schöne Stück Musik zu verwenden.
