View a longer, more in-depth view of the creation of this mandala here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdUFqkX2d6I GRAND PRIZE WINNER in Intel's "A Momentary Lapse" contest!!! If you like this video, please "Like" my FB page: www.Facebook.com/TazDigital The Tibetan Sand Mandala in this video was built in Asheville, North Carolina, over the course of 5 days at Urban Dharma - www.UDharmaNC.com - by Tibetan Monks Khenpo Choephel, Lama Sonam and Dr. Hun Lye. This video was created for Intel's "A Momentary Lapse" competition. On July 22nd, only two days after it was completed, the mandala was deconstructed, and the sand was poured into the French Broad River as an offering to the world. It turns out that one of the most popular ideas about sand mandalas is a misconception - the main point of creating a sand mandala is NOT to highlight impermanence - the documentary will share the monks perspectives who built this mandala. A longer time-lapse and video documentary on this mandala - from it's creation & destruction to its significance and meaning will be released soon.
