These parents know just how hard it is to get a daily routine going with your child, especially once the sun has set. With a little parenting advice, each night can go a little smoother. With your nighttime routine, try to be very consistent each night, especially during the school week. This includes getting your child to bed on time. Keep a schedule and stick to it as much as possible. Even small, extra tasks can throw off an entire night's routine. Having the same bed time each night will help your child stay consistent and well-rested, too. Younger children even need more sleep. Try putting them into their pajamas earlier, keeping the lights low, and only watching mellow television, if at all. Throughout all of this, though, you need to stay flexible and remember that not every night will be consistent. Deciding how your daily routine will work now will help you to remain more level-headed through the hectic back to school activities!
