www.silberstudios.tv In this video, photographer Ken Rockwell joins us to demonstrate the basics of using Adobe Photoshop to touch up and edit photos. Ken first picked up a camera at the age of 5, and since then has learning and testing cameras for over 20 years. Additionally, he has been studying digital imaging since the 1970s, so he is very familiar with the art of image processing. Ken goes over the basics of burning and dodging to create contrasts that can either draw the viewer's eye away or towards a focal point. He demonstrates the usage of layers and masks in Photoshop to lighten and darken photographs. One of the main points he emphasizes is that adjustments on photos must always be subtle, to make them look as natural as possible. If anyone notices the dodging and burning, the magic of the photograph is lost.
