There is no cure for this disease, and the median life expectancy for patients today is just 37 years. Though this is a very young age, it is a vast improvement from times when children would not make it out of elementary school. Over the last 50+ years, there has been huge advances in the development of treatments and medicines to help these patients, but there is still a long way to go in finding a permanent cure for all CF patients. Plus 37, which represents the determination to increase and live past the current median life expectancy of 37, is a charitable t-shirt business that donates its profits to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to aid in research efforts for a cure. Scott's goal is to ultimately raise a massive amount of money and tons of awareness for cystic fibrosis through this brand, while also producing a cool product that people will want to wear regardless.
