Canon's 24-105mm f/4 IS USM 'L' is up there among the most popular 'L' lenses to own, and it's used by many, many photographers and videomakers. It's the typical, unusually luxorious 'kit' lens for Canon's full frame cameras...but it also works pretty nice on Canon's less expensive APS-C cameras. How well does it really perform.
