Recent studies show that sales and deaths related to opiate pain relievers have quadrupled over the last decade in the United States. Also, illicit drug use among pregnant teens is just over 16 percent. A new study examined just how many pregnant women are using these drugs at the time of delivery and the number of babies who are born experiencing drug withdrawal known as neonatal abstinence syndrome. Catherine Dolf has more in this week's JAMA Report.
