In the majority of cases, it would be expected that Sugar Glider's parent or a Sugar Glider's mother would be there to raise them and to properly wean them before they are taken away from mom, and then sold or adopted to perspective owners. There may be a unique or unusual circumstance where you own a pair of Sugar Gliders and should they breed and the female give birth, there may be a certain circumstance where you may have to intervene with care. Say something happens to the mother or something affects her ability to raise the young, you may be faced or put in the position to decide if you want to hand raise those babies. This is generally considered to be very difficult as the parents are the best at raising their own young, but there may be a situation that requires you to take those babies, put them in an incubator, be sure or be capable of keeping them warm, and then be able to, in a sense, bottle feed or be able to feed them the appropriate type of milk replacement in order to raise them and have them successfully grow. Most of the time, a Sugar Glider that comes to you is already weaned, is already eating on their own, and there isn't a lot of very specific care for a young Sugar Glider or a baby for that matter. If there's a circumstance where you find that your female Sugar Glider has had babies and you feel like there's any reason why she's not able to raise them properly or you would need to intervene with that, it would be best to consult a veterinarian or talk to a breeder and find out if it's possible for you to hand raise those babies, what's required with that and the exact specifications of feeding, warmth, nutrition and general care to hopefully allow those babies to survive up through adulthood.
