Spiritual and social agitators storm the comforts of our lives, reminding us of who we are. At the age of 13, Malcolm X crashed into mine, forcing me to ask some serious questions about my color, my future and my commitment to a better world. Added, was the brutal beating of Rodney King on March 3rd 1991. This Ramadān Reminder is timely - it comes on the heels of the South Carolina massacre of nine Black Americans in one of Americas greatest voices for change, the A.M.E church. Listen as I discuss my own reckoning with privilege and my continued struggle to balance it with faith and ethics.
