Sockeye Fire: Neighbors Offer Help for Pets and Livestock

submitted by alaskapublic on 06/17/15 1

When Wasilla resident Stefanie Deal heard about the destruction caused by the ongoing Sockeye Fire, she wanted to find a way to help out. She encouraged her husband, Sean Deal owner of The Screw’s Loose Contracting, and friend Sam Bruley, owner of Meadow Creek Custom Woodworks to offer their time and tools to people and pets in need. Once the smoke clears, the group is hoping to offer replacement shelters for pets and small livestock. Video by: Eric Keto Additional information: www.facebook.com/Meadowcreekcustomwoodworks
