Danica Patrick first ever woman to qualify in pole position for NASCAR Daytona 500 2013. Danica Patrick has won pole position ahead of NASCAR's most prestigious race, the Daytona 500 2013. Patrick is the first ever woman to qualify in first place in a Sprint Cup series and at the Daytona 500. She clocked a speed of 196.434 mph in her No. 10 Chevrolet and took first place ahead of four time NASCAR Cup champion Jeff Gordon at the Daytona International Speedway. Patrick will also be competing against her recently announced boyfriend and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Rookie competitor Ricky Stenhouse Jnr. The rest of the field will be determined in two qualifying races on Thursday before the Daytona 500 race on Sunday 24th February 2013.
