Bad Blood by Taylor Swift is one of those songs where the lyrics didn’t register until I started singing them. And I can honestly say it was a pleasure to explore their depth. So many emotions. Anger. Betrayal. Disappointment. It all feels very real...and you can’t say that about a lot of songs on pop radio. Enter my friend Luke Preston who helped me tackle it. One of the cool things about living in Nashville is you’re constantly meeting others who are pursuing the same things. I met Luke a few months ago and fell in love with his voice. We got coffee one day, and talked touring and songwriting. In my mind, he was perfect for this collaboration, and lucky for me he was down as well.
