NASCAR driver Danica Patrick has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband Paul Hospenthal. The split was originally announced by Patrick on Facebook towards the end of November. The Superior Court of Maricopa County received the official paperwork from Patrick on January 3. According to Fox Sports, the driver explained in court documents that her marriage to Hospenthal was "irretrievably broken." Since a prenuptial agreement was signed prior to their union, it would appear that neither party is interested in fighting over money. Reports also indicate that Patrick and Hospenthal are not asking for alimony or spousal support from one another. News of the divorce first arrived on Facebook. Eager to address the news before it spread out of control around the internet, the NASCAR driver instead took the announcement directly to her friends.
