Monster Eye Cookies for Halloween- with yoyomax12

These fun and delicious cake-like cookies are made using a cake mix! They are moist and soft and taste great (with just a hint of cream cheese flavour). Don't over bake and they will be nice and moist. They are best eaten the same or next day. Found the monster eye idea here: lilluna.com/gooey-monster-eye-cookies/ I have used this recipe before in a video, kind of a fun video, it is in reverse!: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BoQoCasHlqs Spider cupcake video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ny6Oo40tV20 Makes about 2 dozen cookies 1/2 cup butter 8 ounces cream cheese (slightly softened) 1 egg 1 package yellow cake mix (unprepared) or any cake mix flavour (lighter is better if you want to ting them green). Cake mix is a large one that will make 2 doz cupcakes or a 9x13" cake 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/8 to 1/4 cup milk or water (add just enough to make a nice smooth batter that isn't too dry) food colouring candy eyes Combine all ingredients except for milk. Blend well with an electric mixer until crumbly and then add milk until dough is sticky and holds together (I used just under an eigth cup) Drop by tbsp (or use a cookie scoop) on greased cookie sheets. bake at 350 for 10-12 minute. Color should only change very during baking, easy to over bake. Bake until center feel set and cookie have crackled on the surface. Remove cookies from oven and immediately press in a candy eye into the cookie. Allow to cool completely and store in a container at room temperature.
