The original recipe called for double these ingredients. This recipe makes about two dozen 1.5 inch diameter cookies. 1 cup butter 3/4 cups white sugar 2 tsp vanilla 2 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 1.5 cups Captain Crunch Cereal 1 cup chocolate chips (optional) Cream butter, sugar and vanilla together. Add flour and baking soda, then cereal and chocolate chips, mix with spoon until well blended. It will be dry and crumbly. Roll into little logs, 1 inch in diameter and break off little pieces. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 325 F for about 20 minutes or until the bottom of the cookies are light brown. The cookies don't spread much so you don't have to leave too much room between them. Original version of this recipe was taken from a cookbook entitled "Sharing our Mene best:Moanalua High School Project Graduation United" The recipe is attributed to Johnette Yoshida. Thank you to Beth (Sliverscreamgrl) for sending me the cookbook!
