Doing development differently: what should change?

submitted by differentdev on 06/08/15 1

Participants at the 'Doing development differently: Philippines workshop' discuss what comes next for doing development differently, including understanding how the concept can be introduced into large development organisations; broadening out to reach more people, and documenting stories from new sectors and contexts beyond those already collected; improving the way we evaluate attempts to do development differently, and highlighting the importance of organisational cultures - as well as staff - for making this way of working possible. Features interviews with Zack Brisson (Reboot), Tom Parks (DFAT), Calixto Chikiamco (Foundation for Economic Freedom), Taylor Brown (theIDLgoup / GRM International) and Helen Derbyshire (SAVI Nigeria).
