How to Brush a Poodle

submitted by DogTraining on 05/27/15 1

1. Be sure to find a proper dog brush. Finding it is the most important thing in brushing. I lost mine, the dog ate another one and I could not find any proper dog brush from the shop, only human brushes, but with them there is the problem that the coat is left kind of furry: it tangles to the brush and produces kind of tangles instead of the straight coat that a dog brush brings. 2. Also, keep the dog's coat at least 5 cm long and brush it so often that there are no tangles. This way the straight long coat keeps itself neat and there is nothing much that you need to do. 3. For the brushing itself: follow the advices in this video. They are not just an ideal: they are the easiest way to keep the coat neat, straight and without tangles.
