Nage's resistance creates a better, more focused ability in Uke to control Nage's center. By transcending the limbic system response (fight, flight, or freeze) through beneficent consciousness, we send a flood of ki to our partner's center, fulfilling his fundamental spiritual need and neutralizing the attack.
