Aiki-Lab Intensive Practice Day 13 - fluid aiki with random attacks

submitted by Carl Desousa-Oldenburg on 05/25/15 1

Aikido student Romain Samygin came to my dojo to receive one month's worth of daily training. This was taken on day 13, evening practice. This is a moment when all his training kicked in. Please understand that I am not giving him collusive ukemi but a direct line of attack energy into his central core continuously. In this minute of aiki this student got to feel what it is like to maintain a state of optimum ki flow for longer than a second or two - even with random, fully committed attacks that would stop any attempt by him to resist or escape if he had not been in that state.
