The Castle of the Muses in Scotland was honoured to host a special visit by well known American Aikido Master, Corky Quakenbush, all the way from Los Angeles in California. where he gave a theoretical presentation about the principles and ideals behind Aikido & the life and teachings and philosophy of the founder of Aikido, Morihei Ueshiba (1883 – April 26, 1969). Corky Quakenbush works in the film industry and has won numerous awards in Los Angeles for his work in Hollywood, where he has specialised in comic and satirical animation and television. He has screened work at the Sundance Film Festival and had a retrospective of his work at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. In this filmed dialogue between Corky Quakenbush and IIPSGP Director, Dr Thomas Daffern about the philosophy of peace, comparing Druid, Christian, Shinto, Japanese and American philosophical ideas.
