One month trip through Chile in February 2014. Between mid-Ferbruary and mid-March, we have been traveling through Chile between seas, mountains, glaciers and deserts. We arrived in Santiago and spent a few days in Valparaiso. A plane brought us down to the south (Punta Arenas) where we met penguins and hiked through the famous tracks of Tores del Paine. After a 30-hour bus drive, we landed at Puerto Varas for a 2-days kayak trip between rivers and sea (and sea lions!). The wine festival of Santa Cruz marked the step before heading to the north in the Elqui Valley for some stargazing and pisco tasting. We took a small boat with Juan as our Captain to watch the whales. Then we went up to Copiapò to ride up to Laguna Verde and the surrounding salt lakes. The way back was brighten up with beach chilling in Bahia Inglesa and wine tasting in Santa Rita.
